1.Appearance:
①Carefully check if the packaging of the cable box is intact.
②The outer sheath of twisted pair cables should be clearly printed with words such as origin, executive standards, product category, and wire length.
③The identification of Category 6 lines is "cat6", and the identification of Category 5 lines is "cat5e". The printed characters should be very clear, smooth, and basically without jagged shapes.
2.Twisted pair internal:
①Cut the outer sheath of the twisted pair and check if the twisting density of the two wires in the pair meets the technical requirements. Different pairs of wires in the same cable have different degrees of stranding.
②The cable centerline should be twisted counterclockwise between the pairs.
③The twisting degree of the neutral pair of Category 6 twisted pair is denser than that of Category 5 twisted pair, while Category 5 twisted pair is denser than Category 5 twisted pair.
3.Twisted pair thickness and AWG value:
①The AWG value refers to the size of the copper core of the network cable, which is generally around 0.48-0.51mm according to the national standard.
②Pay attention to whether the thickness of the twisted pair is the same as the AWG value printed on the jacket, and whether the diameter of the wire core is uniform and meets the standard.
③Pay attention to the hardness of the twisted pair core and observe whether its appearance has a certain degree of natural bending and tensile strength.
